July Catch Up. Weddings, Cameras and Growing my Business.
A quick catch up blog post before the wedding season kicks off proper.
This year has already flown by so quickly, wedding season is kicking off for me and sees me shooting each weekend up to October, there are some great weddings lined up and I'm looking forward to them all.
I've already shot a few weddings this year, but it's much quieter than the rest of the year, but these few have allowed me to refine my kit and get used to a new way of shooting and new cameras to do it on. I am of course talking about my upgrade to the XT2, which you can read all about at the link.
I'm also planning on growing my business to add some more strings to my bow, delving into the world of shooting video is something I'm currently learning and trying to improve my skills, it seems to make sense to be able to offer this service as well as the stills stuff, plus I think the more disciplines I can learn the better photographer I become in general.
Overall this year has been about getting ready and refining what I do, I've made some tweaks to the website and I'm trying to get the boring stuff like Tax returns and the like done now so I can take a few weeks off come next January.
The rest of this blog is a selection of photos which don't really fit in anywhere else, I hope you enjoy them, and all the best for the next half of this year.
Cheers,
Col-
