Dan & Emma / A Wedding at Clevedon Hall - Bristol
Back last year I headed over the bridge to Bristol and arrived at the incredible Clevedon Hall for Dan and Emma’s wedding, the weather was great and the sun shining, I unpacked my gear and got to work.
We started the day up in the Bridal Suite [which is incredible and bigger than my house], shot a few photos but more importantly just chilled out, got ready for the day and had some much needed coffee and breakfast. During this part of the day I tend not to take a huge amount of photos, some to tell the story but here I feel it’s more important to relax, talk to people and become part of the wedding.
The whole wedding was to be at Clevedon, which is something I really enjoy, I love rocking up to a venue getting the gear out and just focusing on that day instead of watching my watch to make the run over to the church.
After the getting ready the ceremony was held in the main hall which as a massive skylight in the roof [great for us photographers], we then moved outside for a few family group shots and some drinks.
The evening drew in and the casino tables opened as did the dance floor, I shot a fair few images using the Nissin i40 flash as it did get fairly dark towards the evening, the rest of the day is shot on a combination of 2 X-E2’s and an X-M1 and the 12, 23, 56mm lenses.
Hope you enjoy the blog, feel free to comment below.
