📷 SECOND SHOOTING / Bore Place Wedding Photography, Kent

Time for a second shooting blog post!

I had the pleasure of second shooting this wedding for Che Birch Hayes in the summer of 2022.

We headed down the day before as it was a fair drive from Hereford to Kent and settled into our hotel with a pizza. The next morning we drove over to Bore Place, which is an absolutely stunning wedding venue.

Che headed over to start bridal prep photography while I stayed with the boys as they were getting ready, so lots of photos of ties, jackets, buttonholes, and all that good stuff.

My job as a second is to either cover different angles that the main shooter can’t or focus on getting more candid shots while the main photographer does the portraits and family shots. So throughout the day, I was always watching to see where Che was and what he was shooting so it’s not just loads of photos of the same thing between both photographers.

I shot almost all of my second shooting work this day on the Fuji XH1 + 33mm F1.4 lens, which is a fantastic lens and is now my main go-to for a wedding day. I also shot a little behind-the-scenes footage at this wedding, take a look to see how I work on a wedding day!
