π· Dianka + Ollie / Brinsop Court Wedding Photography, Herefordshire
Hot Damn! What a fantastic start to my 2024 wedding season with Dianka & Ollieβs wedding at Brinsop Court!
βWe can't thank Colin enough for our incredible wedding photos! We specifically wanted a documentary style photographer as neither I nor Ollie feel comfortable posing for the camera so finding the right photographer was a really big deal for us.
Colin was fantastic from the very first interaction. He was thorough on all our calls, responded so quickly to all my questions in the lead up and continuously kept us in the loop on any information he had for us.
On the day from the moment he arrived I felt at ease. He has this amazing way of capturing everything without being intrusive. He was such a calming presence, so patient, and when we had to pivot the plan due to timings or the weather, it was no bother for him and he made it all feel so easy and not at all stressful.
Colin captured moments we didn't even think of and when we received our album we were completely overwhelmed with the images. We absolutely love them! I would recommend Colin to everyone, THANK YOU!.β-Dianka & Ollie
When I first caught up with Dianka and Ollie about their wedding plans, I could already sense it was going to be an epic affair β and boy, did they deliver.
They chose Brinsop Court for their big day, and let me tell you, it's one of my absolute favourite venues to work at. Tucked away just 15 minutes down the road, it's an absolute gem.
Their celebration was a beautiful blend of traditions, with nods to Dianka's Ukrainian heritage like the Perepiy (think receiving line, but with shots) and some energetic Ukrainian dancing. And let's not forget Ollie and his band, who kicked off the festivities in style. Talk about starting the year on a high note!
Now, onto gear talk. At the beginning of 2024, I decided to add the 50mm F1.0 lens to my kit. I was looking for something with a bit more reach compared to my trusty 33mm (which, by the way, is a fantastic lens).
The 50mm definitely brought that extra special something I was after.
I pretty much had it attached to my camera all day long, and it's quickly become a staple in my wedding day setup, right alongside my reliable 18mm F1.4. Both lenses are paired with my Fuji XH2 bodies, ready to capture every magical moment.
