A Little Update / Getting Back To It

Well, it’s been a long while since I’ve posted to the blog, with the last couple of years being pretty much insane, things like blogging have just totally dropped off my radar.

But, things seem to be looking up now, and weddings started back up in the summer of 2021 which means I’ve got some awesome content to blog! (Which I’ll hopefully keep up with!)

What have I been doing?

Good question, well my career has taken a different direction in the last few years which has meant shooting fewer weddings but doing different work to make up for this.

I’m now doing a full-time marketing role at a small restaurant group in Hereford which I absolutely love! Lots of food and drinks photos (and eating it of course) social media management, marketing strategy, and all manner of other little bits make up this new job. This does of course leave less time for other work and getting everything to balance out has been hard but I’m really happy with where I am now.

I’m also doing a second smaller marketing job with some stunning holiday properties on the Welsh border

So all of this means that I’ve taking on fewer weddings and aiming to do about 10 weddings per year moving forward, giving me time to shoot and edit them as well as having free time to enjoy with family and not being burnt out.

I also bought a house last year with my partner and we are now engaged (Whoop) and planning an elopement wedding in Iceland!

I’ve lined up a bunch of blog posts from this year so I should be able to get a bit more content out there, as well as a few gear reviews as I upgrade and the tech advances once more.
