Tony & Jo - Lyde Court, Herefordshire
Boom. This wedding was a great day, with all the focus being on having a great time, overall a real chilled out day to shoot.
I first met Tony & Jo way back in early 2015 at the time the summer of 2016 seemed an age away, but as it always does the day soon rolled around, the girls got ready at home and after a delivery of stunning flowers from the Great British Florist off to Lyde Court we went.
The day went by so damn quickly, after meeting the guys several times ahead of the wedding I felt like I was a guest among the wedding, which for me is great as once I'm comfortable and the guests aren't to sure if I'm the hired photographer it really allows me to get stuck in and make some awesome images.
The weather played ball and the wedding to be outside, not to mention the bouncy castle, before heading inside for the meal and speeches. Now it's no secret among photogrpahers that Lyde Court is a dark wedding venue, and you really have to push the cameras to get the image you desire, but with a steady hand and help from an open barn door I'm more than happy with the images the Fuji X-E2 + X100T combo was able to make.
The evening was lead by the ever enthusiastic DJ Roddy Hankins and the sharing of some rather impressive dance moves, as the night was so nice the day ended with people gathered around fire pits long into the night.
Thank you to Tony and Jo, I felt so at home shooting your wedding and couldn't of been made more welcome, it was fantastic day.
