Kerrie & Nick / A Wedding at The Priory - Hereford

Priory Hereford Wedding Photography

Well where do I start with this wedding, I've known Kerrie since I went to college many years ago, and was thrilled when her and Nick asked me to not only photograph their wedding but get stuck in as a guest also, safe to say this was one fantastic wedding with some very unique moments.

"Colin, they are absolutely incredible!! I don't know where we will begin to choose from them! Thank you so so much! I love them all! You captured some amazing memories!" - Kerrie & Nick

So we started the day as it usually does with a bit of bridal prep in a house which was [its safe to say] filled to the brim with Kerries 9 bridesmaids, thats right 9, more on this epic wedding party a bit later, but the day was rolling by and soon it was time to head out to the Priory Hotel in Hereford where the day was to be held.

I was greeted by Nick and his 10 Groomsmen, which was awesome seeing so many people dressed it dapper suits was a real treat to photograph and everyone looked the part, soon Kerrie and the bridesmaids arrived and the ceremony began, after which we all headed outside for drinks and a few posed photos.

I don't normally share my posed work on here as I like people to see the pure documentary nature of what I do, but I will show one and that is the group shot of the whole wedding party, a 21 person group shot of awesome proportions, I was so happy with the massive garden at the Priory that allowed this kind of thing to be done.

The day moved swiftly on with the wedding breakfast and the speeches, it was great to sit down and eat with everyone else and feel very relaxed as a guest at the wedding, it gives a different perspective than normal and was great fun.

The evening rolled round with more guests arriving, some cake and what con only be described as the most impressive 58 person Jagerbomb-train-mexican-wave-drinking-lineup I have ever seen, we got everyone involved on the lawn and I shot down the line to get the group in, as I guest I was also obliged to join in of course.

I switched to my X100 & Nissin i40 setup for the evening as I would be staying longer than I usually do and took this time to grab the dancing shots of the evening and wind down after a cracking day.

Safe to say this was an incredibly enjoyable event to shoot, knowing the couple and so many of the guests was great. I'd like to thank Kerrie and Nick for asking me to be their wedding photographer and that I enjoyed myself so much for the whole day, it was a treat and an honour.

Cheers,
