Badminton Horse Trials with a Fuji XE-2

Back in May this Year I went along once more to the Badminton Horse Trials, a 3 day horsing event with jumping, showing etc, I took with the the Fuji XE-2 and the awesome 23mm lens, plus my old OM 100mm 2.8 lens and an adapter, here are a small selection of shots I got on the day and a bit more about what it was all like.

We went on cross country day which is essentially a 2 mile course with some crazy high jumps in it, perfect for trying out the OM lens and a bit of focus speed testing on the 23mm.

23mm on an XE-2 in Continuos focus, low speed burst mode, kept up fairly well, not everything was in focus but it was good enough for me, after all this isn't a sports camera.

The 100mm lens held up really well and allowed me to get some nice tight shots of the jumps while getting that lovely background separation courtesy of the F2.8 aperture, manual focus can be hard at times but with stuff like this it's no problem to pre-focus on where you know the action will be and knock out 7 frames per second to get your moment.

The OM 100mm, a cracking lens.

Thats pretty much it for this blog post, I'll pop a load of images form the day below for you to check out, feel free to comment below,
