Alex & Eve / A Whitney Court Wedding in the Herefordshire Countryside
I met Alex and Eve last year where we talked about the awesome wedding they had planned at Whitney Court in Hereford, even at this early stage I was looking forward to this wedding and could tell it was going to be incredible.
Whitney court is a stunning country house, a perfect venue for a wedding, the morning of which I was awoken by thunder storms and the realisation that this would most likely be a rain filled wedding. Now to say the weather turned during the day would be an understatement, it went from torrential rain to sun, back to rain and thunder, but the rain held off at the key points of the day and overall this was one fantastic day.
The wedding saw it's fair share of unique touches such as a charity fund raising merch' stall where the guests could buy Alex & Eve branded tea towels and mugs, a really great triple best man speach where the various stages of the grooms life we acted out and the night was topped of with the groom playing in the last band and a crowd full of dancing guests.
This wedding was photographed using a Fuji XE2 | XE1 | X100 with 18, 35 and 60mm lenses, an old OM 100/2.8 came out a bit as well. I shot this wedding in my normal documentary style but I'll also include here a few of my posed shots, this wedding was perfect for that only about 6 posed groups were needed which I think is a perfect amount, so for those of you who would like to see how I shoot my group photos then, check them out below!
Massive thanks go out to Alex & Eve who are not only truly awesome people who put on one hell of a wedding, but are also clearly madly in love and I wish you all the best in your future together.
