Fuji 16mm Review
It was a long time coming and last year I took the plunge and bought the fuji 16mm lens, here is a super quick review and a bunch of photos, enjoy.
I've had the 16mm for a few months now and it has fast become my go-to lens for wedding photography, replacing my much loved 23mm.
It is an incredible lens that renders photos in a fantastic way, it is a low light beast and gives you a depth of field similar to the 'look' of a full frame lens.
It's weather resistant, has the nice clutch focus for manual focus and balances well on the Fuji XE-2 (with the extra grip)
Here is a quick breakdown:
-Weather Resistant
-Super fast at F1.4
-Quick to focus [slightly quicker than the 23mm]
-Great out of focus separation
-Fairly small and not too heavy on the XE2
-Sharp and contrasty
Overall this lens is everything I hoped it would be, and since getting it I can see what it has quickly become the favourite of many photographers. My current wedding day setup is the 2 X-E2's with the 16/56mm combo and then the X100T for something small and mid range.
With the 23mm being left in the bag on most days I can fully see me selling that one on and upgrading the X100T to the hotly anticipated X100F.
Here are the photos, hope you enjoy, feel free to pop your questions below.
Cheers, Col-
