Gear Time! | Flight Case for my Fuji Kit

It's high time my old [Nikon branded] carry case was changed up for something a little more stylish and suitable for my needs.

When working I'm used to having my gear in a standard bag with movable spaces and all that, fine of course but I always felt it could be more organised, especially after a wedding where it seemed to be a mess of cameras, batteries and bits, I wanted something much cleaner and easier to use.

I decided to pick up this flight case from Maplins which had removable foam blocks so you can customise it to fit exactly what you want, after almost a whole evening of laying out and planning before I reached the point of no return and started tearing foam I ended up with this layout, and I love it.

For one it's very clean and organised, I know when everything is and before a wedding I can clearly see if anything is missing from it's rightful place in the box, it also had the feel of an assassin about it, putting together the camera from a foam cut box feels much like assembling a rifle [not that I've ever actually done that save on games consoles] then of course I realise I'm actually just taking photos and come back to reality.

Whats in the box?

Here's what we have in the box: It's my full wedding gear kit, all I need to do what I do whilst carrying backups in another bag in the car of course but this is the bread and butter.

Click the links to find out more about the gear.

Fuji X-E2 x2

Fuji X-M1

Backup batteries [lots]

Nissin i40 Flashgun

Spider Holster x2

Memory cards

Samyang 12mm F2 lens

Fuji 23mm F1.4 lens

Fuji 56mm F1.2 lens

I hope you enjoyed reading a bit about that and seeing some nice photos of gear [which I always love] but if you are looking at having a slicker, tidier way of caring your fuji gear check out a flight case.

Cheers,

Col-
